The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be a great option for those looking to eliminate mopping from their list of things to do. Some models have superior navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through an efficient.
It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and works well, but this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.
The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house, detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be dried and washed to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it must make, which will determine how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It's important to note that it incurs regular expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.
best budget robot vacuum cleaner that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning session. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up pet hair. It was able to capture some of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some lovely jingles that inform you that it was in the process of finishing its work.
The app was too basic and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't contain multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it comes with some unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock which doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.
The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
